Welcome to Irwin School’s website! The staff, parents and children at Irwin take great pride in working together to make sure that everyone has both a successful and enjoyable school experience. We hope that you find the information on our school and district website beneficial to you and your family.

Irwin School is a kindergarten through grade five school with an enrollment of approximately 440 students. Students engage in a rich curricular experience in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, health, music, library and art. They participate in inquiry and exploratory learning in all areas. The staff uses a variety of teaching strategies and methodologies to help students make connections between real life experiences and the curriculum. Children work and learn with their teachers in a caring and nurturing environment. The students and staff at Irwin School take great pride in their accomplishments and celebrate the achievements that come from a combination of a love for learning and hard work.

Students have the opportunity to become involved in a number of clubs and activities at Irwin School. Information about each of these programs can be found on the Clubs and Activities link on our school home page.

Parents are vital to their child’s success in school. Research shows that parent and family involvement play a significant role in their child’s intelligence, competence, and achievement. Parents are an important part of the Irwin School community and are invited to become active in their child’s school experiences. The PTA is an energetic and supportive group, dedicated to enriching and enhancing the academic and social climate of our school.

At Irwin School, the staff has a long history of providing children with the very best in educational opportunities within a caring environment. Named a National Blue Ribbon School in 1989 -1990, teachers continue the tradition of excellent instruction and best practices in teaching. We all take great pride in the achievements of our students, fostering their curiosity and encouraging a love of learning.
