First Grade
Bullying is not cool Cloudy with a chance of giving

The First grade is now learning about short vowels, odd & even numbers, reading strategies, the number grid, and your schema. (that means what you know about something). They are also learning about adding to your schema, properties, reading and families. The First  grade is going on many great field trips. This year, they are going to the farm. They will also be seeing an Eric Carle show at the State Theater. The First graders are presently reading weather books, cloud books, and independent reading books. And most of all, as always, the First grade are reading their short vowel books. In other subjects besides reading and ILA, the 1st graders have been learning how to handle a bully and the 6 pillars of character. They also have been talking about respect and how to treat others the way you want to be treated. As you can see, 1st grade is doing a lot of fun activities.
