Welcome to Miss Grossman's Webpage
Make a Difference, Be a Hero!
Week of January 16- January 20
Weekly Theme: Arctic, Polar Bear, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.- please send in something to share!
Weekly News: We did an awesome job this week learning all about Polar Bears and how they live in the COLD Arctic! We did well learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.- how he had a dream that one day we would be seen as equal and practiced learning about same and different. We encourage you to ask your child about our egg experiment where we learned that although we look different on the outside we are the same on the inside. We also did well learning how Polar Bears stay warm with their blubber- ask your child how they felt during our blubber experiment!
Attention Parents: Our classroom friends will be Akshaj, Lily D., Brayden, Bradley, Daniel, Cassie, Lily W., Basam, and Jayden! Please send in a family photo including your child if you have not done so already! Please encourage your child at home to use his or her words for all needs and wants! Encourage your child to use his or her fork/spoon when eating and please encourage practice cleaning up (dish/snack/toys)!
Encourage your child to help set/clean off the table at home, expecting good manners!
We encourage playing I-Spy games at home or practicing simple riddles with your child to help keep consistency at home :)!
Please check out a new app: Breathe, Think, Do with Sesame. This free app helps our friends to calm their bodies when they feel frustrated.
We are continuing to practice taking a deep breath to calm our bodies or sit on a bean bag to take a minute- these strategies have been effective in our classroom to help my friends control their bodies.
