Welcome to Chittick Elementary School, located in East Brunswick, NJ. Our theme, A Community of Learners, serves as a common thread woven throughout the school’s tapestry. Building a partnership between teacher, parent and student is essential to this community and acts as the solid foundation for educational success. As Principal, I believe it is imperative to forge a relationship between teacher, parent and student. With the proper support, that relationship will flourish and foster a lifelong love of learning to all those that participate.

Chittick School provides a content rich curriculum that actively engages the student and provides structure in all aspects of learning. Every student possesses his or her own learning style and ability. These differences make each child unique as individuals. Teachers at Chittick Elementary School are committed to using instructional methodologies that provide opportunities for all learning styles. This approach enables students to reach their fullest potential in a structured educational environment.

Chittick School also provides students with a variety of clubs and activities that promote cooperative learning and socialization skills. These activities give students the opportunity to actively use the educational concepts learned. The exhibits displayed in the hallways are a reflection of student individualism and the vibrant colors represent the many personalities that make up our student body.

The beautiful new lobby mural was created by Mr. Baron and Mrs. Denenberg in connection with the fourth grade Science curriculum. During the school year the fourth graders use the star lab to learn about constellations and our solar system. Also to enhance the ongoing character education in the school, the mural also has the six pillars of character written out as constellations. If a student is caught doing good behavior and is displaying one of the six pillars of character the student will have a star with their name on it hung in the lobby in front of the mural. Watch our lobby light up because Chittick students are out of this world!
